MR DAVID DUPONT

The Board of Pennon Group Plc announces the planned retirement of David Dupont, Group Director of Finance and an Executive Director of Pennon Group Plc, on 31 January 2015.

David has decided to retire after over 12 years as the Group Director of Finance during which time he has successfully managed the financial affairs of the Group during a period of substantial development and growth.

Ken Harvey, Chairman of Pennon Group, said:

"David has made a very significant contribution to the success of Pennon over many years. His careful management of the Group's finances; his contribution to the strategic development of both South West Water and Viridor; and the productive relationships he has had with the City and investors has ensured that Pennon Group remains a well respected company in its sector. He has put in place the funding required to take South West Water forward into the K6 period and finance the construction of Viridor's committed ERF (Energy Recovery Facilities) programme. David's decision to retire next January is therefore timely in that it will allow his successor to actively contribute to the next phases of development of both South West Water and Viridor."

The Board is pleased to announce that David's successor will be Susan Davy who currently is Finance and Regulatory Director of South West Water. Susan was appointed to the South West Water Board 7 years ago, is an experienced chartered accountant and is already well known to many City advisers. She is well placed to take on the role immediately upon David's retirement.

In respect of UKLA Listing Rule 9.6.13 relating to further information concerning the appointment of a new director it should be noted that there are no details to disclose concerning Susan Davy.
