Portmeirion Group PLC20 June 2006 Portmeirion Group Plc (the 'Company') Transaction in own shares The Company announces that, pursuant to its general authority granted byshareholders of the Company on 23 May 2006 to make market purchases of itsordinary shares of 5p each ("Ordinary Shares"), the Company today made on marketpurchases of 20,000 Ordinary Shares at 220p per share (all of which are to beheld as treasury shares). The Company now holds 677,218 Ordinary Shares in treasury and the total numberof Ordinary Shares in issue less the total number of Ordinary Shares held intreasury following the purchase and non-cancellation of such Ordinary Shares is9,785,812 Ordinary Shares.
