SIGNIFICANT SHAREHOLDING

Oxford, UK - 12 March 2012: Oxford BioMedica plc ("Oxford BioMedica" or "the Company") (LSE: OXB), the leading gene-based biopharmaceutical company, has been informed that on 31 January 2012, Cubana Investments Limited ("Cubana") was acquired by Vulpes Life Sciences Fund ("Vulpes"). As a consequence, on 9 March 2012 Cubana's interest in the ordinary shares of the Company were transferred to Vulpes.

The transfer to Vulpes has not resulted in a change in beneficial ownership of Cubana's interest in the Company as Vulpes is the new investment vehicle for the underlying owners of Cubana.

Following this transfer, Vulpes has an interest in 131,950,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each representing 13.96 per cent of the issues ordinary share capital in Oxford BioMedica.
