Orad Hi-Tec Systems20 February 2007 Orad signs a new agreement with RTBF worth US$1.2 million to supply threedimensional news graphics systems. Orad Hi-Tec Systems (Symbol: OHT), a world-leading provider of virtual studiosand on-air graphics, has announced that it will be providing Radio TelevisionBelge de la Communite Francaise ("RTBF"), with Orad's 'Maestro' platforms fornews, channel branding, and '3Designer' authoring software. The contract isestimated at US$1.2 million and will be supplied during 2007. After a thorough evaluation process through a Europe wide public tender, RTBFchose to standardise their graphic solution with Orad's 'Maestro' threedimensional graphic systems, which will provide RTBF with an end-to-end playoutapplication for news, channel branding, and on site production. RTBF chooseOrad's 'Maestro' as the most cost effective solution due to its scalability,reliability, and its seamless integration to the 'iNews' news room system andthe 'Avid NLE' system. The 'Maestro' three dimensional graphic station is basedon Orad's powerful 'HDVG' graphic platform which will offer RTBF advancedstandard definition capabilities with an easy upgrade path to high definitioncontent production capabilities.
