Our principal operating subsidiary, Wilson Sons Limited announced to the Brazilian and Luxembourg Stock Exchanges the following announcement.
Wilson, Sons announces the christening of PSV Cormoran and the renewal of Petrobras contracts for PSVs Albatroz and Gaivota
PSV Cormoran was constructed in the Wilson, Sons Shipyard in Guarujá (SP) and delivered to Wilson, Sons Ultratug Offshore (WSUT), in which Wilson, Sons has a 50% interest. PSV Cormoran is the 12th vessel in the WSUT fleet of offshore support vessels (OSVs) and will operate under long-term contract to Petrobras. By 2017 WSUT expects to operate 34 joint venture owned OSVs.
PSV Cormoran was constructed with federal and state incentives and financed through the "Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social" (BNDES) as agent for Merchant Marine Fund (FMM). A further 2 PSV´s contracted to Petrobras are in different stages of construction in the Wilson, Sons Shipyard.
PSV Cormoran has specifications of 71.85 m length, 16 m width, draft of 6 m, 3,200 deadweight tonnes and speed of 13 knots. The vessel was built with technological and design input from Damen shipyards.
The Company is also announcing that WSUT has renewed charter contracts with Petrobras for an additional 4 years for the PSVs Albatroz and Gaivota.
