Norcros, the home consumer products group, announces that it has appointed Mr. Girija Sankar Patnaik as an alternate non-executive director to Mr Vijay Aggarwal with immediate effect.

Mr Patnaik is a non-Board Director of H. & R. Johnson (India) Ltd, a company in India in which the Group previously had a direct interest. H. & R. Johnson (India) Limited is the parent of Lifestyle Investments Pvt. Ltd., a major shareholder of Norcros plc. He is a member on the Board of Milano Bathroom Fittings Private Limited and Ardex Endura India) Private Limited.

There are no other matters in connection with the appointment of Girija Sankar Patnaik to be disclosed under paragraph LR9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.

Mr Patnaik holds a B.tech degree in Ceramic Engineering from the Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University, Diploma in Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur and a diploma in Business Finance from the Institute of Chartered Finance Analyst (ICFA), Hyderabad. He has more than 25 year's experience in Manufacturing Project Management, R&D, Supply Chain, ERP Implementation and exports & International Operations. He joined H & R Johnson (India) Limited in 1994 as General Manager (Operations) for the manufacturing plant in South India.
