Max Petroleum PLC31 January 2008 Max Petroleum Plc ("Max Petroleum" or "the Company") Total Voting Rights 31 January 2008 In conformity with the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company would like to notify the market that as at 31 January 2008, the issued share capital and voting rights of Max Petroleum were as follows: The Company's share capital consisted of 327,778,737 ordinary shares with voting rights attached (one vote per ordinary share). There are no ordinary shares held in Treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in Max Petroleum is 327,778,737.
