Max Petroleum PLC05 September 2007 Max Petroleum Plc ("Max Petroleum" or "the Company") Total Voting Rights 05 September 2007 In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, the Company would like to notify the market of the following: As at 31 August 2007, the issued share capital and voting rights of Max Petroleum were as follows: The Company's share capital consisted of 324,033,931 Ordinary shares with voting rights attached (one vote per Ordinary share). There are no Ordinary shares held in Treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in Max Petroleum is 324,033,931.
