Scrip Dividend Declaration and total voting rights
MedicX Fund (LSE: MXF) announces that, pursuant to its scrip dividend scheme (the "Scrip Dividend Alternative"), elections were received in respect of 1.5 per cent. of the ordinary shares in issue as at the record date of 17 August 2018. Electing shareholders will receive ordinary shares of no par value in the Company ("Shares") in lieu of receiving cash for the September 2018 dividend in respect of the quarter ended 30 June 2018. Accordingly, 117,124 Shares will be sold out of treasury by the Company on 28 September 2018 to shareholders who elected to participate in the Scrip Dividend Alternative.
The Shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares.
Total voting rights:
Following the dividend payment date and the sale out of treasury of 117,124 Shares under the Scrip Dividend Alternative, the Company is expected to have 445,702,399 ordinary shares in issue, of which 2,786,259 will be held in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in issue as at 28 September 2018 is expected to be 442,916,140 in the absence of any further transactions in the Company's ordinary shares before 28 September 2018.
In addition, the Company has 5,071,668 ordinary shares of no par value remaining under its block listing facility.
