METRO BANK PLCBlock Listing Application

8 March 2016: Metro Bank PLC announces that an application has been made today to the UK Listing Authority ("UKLA") and the London Stock Exchange plc ("LSE") for the listing of 4,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.0001 pence each ("Shares") to trade on the LSE and to be admitted to the Official List. The Shares are being reserved under a block listing and will be issued as a result of the exercise of share options pursuant to Metro Bank's Long Term Reward Plans and/or Variable Reward Plan.

It is expected that the admission of the Shares will become effective on 11 March 2016. These Shares will rank pari passu with existing Shares of Metro Bank.
