TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS
In accordance with Chapter 5 (Vote Holder and Issuer Notification Rules) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules (the "DTRs"), Melrose makes the following announcement:
As at 31 July, 2022 Melrose has a total of 4,110,964,231 ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each issued and admitted to trading and each share carries the right to one vote (the "Ordinary Shares"). The Ordinary Shares include 48,155,514 ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each which will be cancelled on 2 August 2022 in accordance with the ongoing share buyback programme of the Company.
Melrose holds no shares in treasury.
Therefore, at the start of business 1 August, 2022 the total voting rights figure of 4,110,964,231 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Melrose under the DTRs.
