Board Appointment
Monitise welcomes Elizabeth Buse to its Board
Monitise plc (LSE: MONI.L) ("Monitise") is delighted to announce that Elizabeth Buse is to join its Board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. The appointment follows the announcement on 13 July 2010 concerning an equity fundraising, the strengthening of Monitise's Global Alliance Agreement with Visa, and the appointment of a new board member.
Ms Elizabeth Lynch Buse, 49, is currently a member of the Executive Team and the Group Executive, International, for Visa Inc. with responsibility for overseeing Visa's global sales and client service functions across Asia Pacific, Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Previously, Ms Buse was the global head of product for Visa Inc., leading all aspects of product strategy, development and growth. Prior to assuming the role of global head of product, Elizabeth was executive vice president of product development and management for Visa USA.
Monitise has a strategic alliance agreement with Visa International Service Association ("Visa"), a subsidiary of Visa Inc., to partner its development of mobile services to its 1.8 billion cardholders across the globe. It recently signed a joint venture agreement with Visa to develop mobile services in India.
No other information in respect of Ms Buse's appointment is required to be disclosed under Schedule Two (g) of the AIM Rules, save that Ms Buse is currently a director of International Museum of Women and Artio Global Investors Inc.
