The new range of services have beendeveloped by Monitise on the basis of the requirements of its key partners andits view of the expanding demands of the consumer in this rapidly developingmarket space. It is expected that a range of these services will be introducedby participating financial institutions based on their customer requirements andwill allow consumers even greater control of their financial affairs from theirmobile handset, 24/7. New services being introduced include: - The ability to manage multiple accounts - including bank accounts,credit and pre-paid cards and loyalty card schemes - from a single application - A full range of payment services - including inter-account and peerto peer transfers, bill payment and international remittances - SMS alerting - such as weekly balances, accounts nearing their limitor notification of potentially fraudulent transactions - 'Click to call' services, allowing consumers to instigate a directcall to their provider's contact centre from within the Monitise application forsales or service - Secure messaging services, allowing consumers to send or receivesecure messages from their financial services provider - such as requests forcredit limit increases or card activations - Two-factor authentication for internet banking - providing anadditional layer of security, through the use of unique passcodes andinstruction confirmation to protect against internet fraud and secure paymentstransactions conducted online - ATM & branch locators Beyond these additions to its mobile banking and payments platform, Monitise isalso working with partners to leverage its unique technology in emerging paymentchannels such as increasing the security and improving the experience ofshopping online. This will be delivered using a range of identity and 'cardholder not present' mobile security solutions. The Monitise service is designed to be compatible with any bank or mobilenetwork and is available on 95% of the handsets currently available in the UK,resulting in the widest possible appeal to consumers and avoiding the need for achange of mobile operator or handset in order to benefit from the service. Itconnects directly into financial institutions using their existing paymentprocessing connections, delivering a highly secure consumer service, without therequirement for extensive technical integration.
