Net Asset Value

The Directors confirm:

· Net asset value (NAV)1 of 40.45p per Ordinary Share as at 30 April 2018, compared to 40.47p at 31 January 2018;

· NAV total return2 of 97.53p per Ordinary Share as at 30 April 2018, compared to 97.55p at 31 January 2018; and

· Interim dividend of 5.20p per Ordinary Share in respect of the year ending 31 January 2019, to be paid on 22 June 2018.

Notes:

1The NAV at 30 April 2018 is unaudited, reflects the closing bid price of quoted securities as at that date and includes the value of the interim dividend to be paid on 22 June 2018. Investments in unlisted companies are normally valued on a six monthly basis and the NAV incorporates the Directors' valuation of unlisted investments as at 31 January 2018, adjusted for subsequent events where appropriate. There have been no material changes in the valuations of any of the unlisted investments during the period from 31 January 2018 to the date of this announcement.

2NAV total return is the sum of NAV per Ordinary Share and dividends paid per Ordinary Share since launch.
