Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE:MMC), a global professional services firm offering advice and solutions in risk, strategy, and human capital, today announced that it has been included in the 2013 CDP Global 500 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI).
Marsh & McLennan Companies is one of eight companies from the Global 500 index's financial sector to be named part of the CDLI, based on analysis of the firm's responses to CDP's questionnaire on greenhouse gas emissions, emission reduction targets, and risks and opportunities associated with climate change. In its second inclusion in the Global 500 CDLI, Marsh & McLennan Companies scored in the top 5% of financial sector respondents and in the top 10% of all respondents.
The CDLI is a key component of CDP's annual climate change report, highlighting the companies within the CDP Global 500 that have demonstrated a commitment to measure and report on carbon emissions and have acted to address climate change.
