AGM Statement

Mercia Asset Management PLC (AIM: MERC), the proactive, regionally focused specialist asset manager with c.£959million of assets under management, is today holding its Annual General Meeting. The Non-executive Chair, Ian Metcalfe, will make the following remarks at the meeting:

"The recurring profits now being derived from our investment activities in both our fund management business and from the balance sheet portfolio are testament to the strength of our differentiated business model. We continue to benefit from a Group-wide strong liquidity position. This ensures not only the continued support of Mercia's direct and managed funds' investment portfolios as they navigate macroeconomic uncertainties, but also the continued deployment of capital into attractive new investment opportunities and when appropriate, scaling the Group's funds under management in line with our 'Mercia 20:20' strategy."
