Mercia Annual Gala Dinner
Mercia Technologies PLC (AIM: MERC), the national investment group focused on the funding and scaling of innovative technology businesses with high growth potential from the UK regions, is hosting its Annual Gala Dinner, 'Celebrating Tech 2018', at 6:30pm today, 1 February 2018, at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Edgbaston Road, Birmingham, B5 7QU.
The event will include a speech from Andy Street CBE, the Mayor of the West Midlands and former Chief Executive of John Lewis. Andy will be joined by industry experts, including David Lecomber from Allinea Software, the first successful cash exit for Mercia which returned circa 21x on the original investment cost, and Fusion Futures founder Mike Ryan. Mercia's Chief Executive Officer, Dr Mark Payton, will also be giving a presentation to the c250 guests, followed by a panel discussion with the Group's sector heads who will give insights into Mercia's core areas of investment focus: Software & the Internet; Digital & Digital Entertainment; Electronics, Materials & Manufacturing/Engineering and Life Sciences & Biosciences.
