Application for Block Listing

Mears announces the following amendments to the Application for Block Listing Announcement released on the 25 June 2010 under RNS number 2786O. The words "Up to" have been removed when referring to the number of shares allotted and the Unapproved Share Option Plan has been replaced with the Save As You Earn Scheme.
All other details remain unchanged.
The full amended text is shown below.
Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority, the London Stock Exchange and the PLUS-Listed Market for a block listing totalling 339,873 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company. These shares will be allotted and issued in due course upon the exercise of options pursuant to the Company's obligations as follows:
100,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in respect of the Mears Approved Company Share Option Plan
239,873 ordinary shares of 1p each in respect of the Mears Save As You Earn Scheme
These shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company. Trading in the ordinary shares under the block listing is expected to commence on 1 July 2010.
