Opening of Hong Kong office
MedaPhor Group plc (AIM: MED), the intelligent ultrasound software and simulation company, announces that it has opened an office in Hong Kong to facilitate the Group's established reseller network and growing customer base in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The Group now has 18 active reseller partners in this region selling the ScanTrainer, HeartWorks and new BodyWorks Eve simulation portfolio into hospitals and university teaching schools.
The new Hong Kong office will support and aim to expand reseller sales, marketing and customer relations across the APAC region and especially in the growing Chinese simulation market.
The Company has appointed a local Channel and Product Support Manager, Victor Kwan, to be permanently based out of the Hong Kong office. Victor brings with him over 10 years of experience working in product marketing and management, seven of which were spent in the medical simulation industry.

Focuses on augmented reality and deep-learning based algorithms to make ultrasound machines smarter and more accessible. Products in development include ScanNav which uses machine-learning based algorithms to automatically identify and grade ultrasound images to provide scan assessment and audit of obstetric scanning. NeedleGuide aims to simplify ultrasound-guided needling by using deep learning and augmented reality to provide the user with pathway guidance and automated tracking for a range of medical procedures.
