Appointment of Non-executive Director
Low & Bonar PLC (the "Group"), the international performance materials group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Trudy Schoolenberg as a non-executive director with effect from today.
Dr Schoolenberg has recently become Director of Research, Development and Innovation for AKZO Nobel's Decorative Paints Division, one of AKZO Nobel's three main divisions. Prior to that she had most recently served as Vice-president of Global Research & Development at Wartsila Oy, the world leader in land and marine power systems, having previously worked for 21 years for Royal Dutch Shell plc. She is currently also a non-executive director of COVA, the agency responsible for maintaining the Dutch strategic oil and petrochemical reserves, and of Spirax-Sarco Engineering Plc, a multi-national group specialising in steam and pump technology and a FTSE 250 company (SPX.L). There is no additional information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 R.
Mr Folkert Blaisse, non-executive director, stepped down from the Board with effect from 30 April 2013 and his position on the Company's Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees has been assumed by Dr Schoolenberg.
