Latham(James) PLC29 August 2007 James Latham plc Stock Exchange Announcement and Statement to the 2007 AGM The Directors intend to issue the following statement to shareholders attendingtoday's AGM: For the first four months of the current financial year, namely April to July2007, sales are well ahead of the same period last year. Management accountsalso indicate that margins have improved. The results for the half-year Aprilto September are also expected to be ahead of last year, however the gainsreceived as a result of increasing prices are unlikely to continue into thesecond half year. It is too early in the financial year to be certain of the final result. James Latham plc's interim results to the end of September will be announced on5 December 2007. Building on the Company's strong financial base, it is the Board's strategy todevelop the core timber distribution business. The intention is to developexisting depots and the product range and to expand geographically asopportunities become available.
