Senior Underwriting Promotions

 

Lancashire Holdings Limited ("LHL") has today announced three internal senior underwriting promotions.

 

James Irvine is to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for Lancashire Insurance Company Limited in Bermuda ("LICL") with effect from 1 September 2017 (subject to immigration approval); James Flude is to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) Limited in London ("LUK") also with effect from 1 September 2017; and Matthew Westerman is to be appointed as the Head of Property Treaty for Cathedral Syndicate 2010 with effect from 6 April 2018.

 

James Irvine joined Lancashire in April 2010 and is currently a senior underwriter in Bermuda with responsibility for LICL's property reinsurance portfolio. In his new role as Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for LICL, he will continue to report to the Chief Underwriting Officer of LICL, Sylvain Perrier.

 

James Flude joined Lancashire in January 2014 as the head of energy and marine underwriting, having previously worked at the Watkins Syndicate for over 14 years, more recently as an energy underwriter and account manager. James is also an energy class underwriter for Cathedral Syndicate 3010. In his new role as the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for LUK, James will continue to report to the Chief Underwriting Officer of LUK, Hayley Johnston.

 

Matthew Westerman joined Lancashire in July 2012 and is a senior underwriter in Bermuda with responsibility for LICL's property reinsurance portfolio. In his new role as the Head of Property Treaty for Cathedral Syndicate 2010, Matthew will report to Cathedral Syndicate 2010's Active Underwriter, Jon Barnes.
