Capital Reduction Approved
Likewise Group plc (AIM:LIKE), the fast growing UK floor coverings distributor announces that the High Court of Justice in England and Wales has made an order confirming the reduction of the Company's share premium account (the "Capital Reduction") under section 648 of the Companies Act 2006. Details of the Capital Reduction were set out in the circular to shareholders dated 17 December 2021 and the proposal was approved by shareholders at a general meeting held on 10 January 2022. The order of the Court was filed with Companies House on 22 February 2022, and the Company has just been informed that the Capital Reduction became effective on 23 February 2022.
The Capital Reduction has been effected in order to create distributable reserves which may be used to facilitate the payment of future dividends.
