PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 3Q 2016
(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)
LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the third quarter of 2016 as follows.
In the third quarter of 2016, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 13,221.0 billion (as compared to KRW 14,002.9 billion in 2016.2Q and KRW 14,028.8 billion in 2015.3Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 5.6% (QoQ -5.6%) and a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%(YoY -5.8%).
The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 283.2 billion (as compared to KRW 584.6 billion in 2016.2Q and KRW 294.0 billion in 2015.3Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 51.6% (QoQ -51.6%) and a year-on-year decrease of 3.7% (YoY -3.7 %), respectively.
