Cressida Hogg and Edward Bonham Carter to join Land Securities' Board of Directors

Land Securities today announces that Cressida Hogg and Edward Bonham Carter will join the Board as independent non-executive directors. The appointments will take effect from 1 January 2014. At the same time, Sir Stuart Rose will step down from the Board.

"The diverse skills and experience of Cressida Hogg and Edward Bonham Carter will add both depth and breadth to the Board. Cressida is an authority on infrastructure investment and its impact on property, while Edward's experience as a fund manager and chief executive of a public company will bring added perspective. With these appointments I am confident that we have secured leading directors from the next generation."

Cressida Hogg, 44, is the Managing Partner, Infrastructure at 3i. Among its other activities 3i's infrastructure team acts as Investment Adviser to 3i Infrastructure plc, a FTSE 250 investment company with a market capitalisation of approximately £1.2 billion. Cressida has advised on all transactions made by 3i Infrastructure since its floatation in 2007. A PPE graduate from St John's, Oxford, she started her career at JP Morgan.

Edward Bonham Carter, 53, is the Group Chief Executive at Jupiter Fund Management plc, the FTSE 250 fund management group. He oversaw the company's MBO in 2007, its successful IPO in 2010 and has increased funds under management to £29.9 billion. A graduate in Economics and Politics from Manchester University, he started his career at Schroders and also worked at Electra Investment Trust before joining Jupiter in 1994.

Sir Stuart Rose joined the Land Securities' Board in 2003 and is not currently a member of any Board committees. It is anticipated that Cressida Hogg will join the Audit Committee upon appointment and Edward Bonham Carter will join the Remuneration Committee.

Additional Information: -

1. Other than as set out above there are no items requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 of the UKLA's Listing Rules.

2. Land Securities' non-executive directors receive a base fee of £67,500 with no additional fees for Committee membership.

3. In accordance with section 430(2B) of the Companies Act 2006, Land Securities confirms that Sir Stuart Rose will receive his base fee up to 31 December 2013 and will not receive any additional payment for loss of office.
