Management Changes
Kore Potash, the potash development company with 97%-ownership of the Kola and DX Potash Projects in the Sintoukola Basin, located within the Republic of Congo, announces that the Company's Chief Financial Officer, Mr Jean Michel Bour, has informed the Board of his intention to leave Kore Potash due to personal reasons.
Jean Michel was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer on 9 June 2021. Jean Michel has advised the Company that his personal circumstances are now such that he is not able to continue in the role. Jean Michel steps aside from the CFO role with immediate effect and shall continue to work with the Company until 15 August to complete agreed tasks.
Ms Amanda Farris has been appointed as interim CFO while a search is conducted for a permanent CFO. Ms Farris will report direct to the CEO and is not joining the Board of the Company.
She has been working with the Company since May 2021, providing commercial support and assistance to the CFO and is well positioned to assume the CFO responsibilities.
Ms Farris is an Australian Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' experience in the mining industry with a broad skill base including financial management, business support services, feasibility studies, mining and processing constructing projects, contract negotiations and mining and exploration operations. The corporate and operations leadership and management roles she has held have been in Australia, Indonesia, Cote d Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of the Congo with companies including Newcrest Mining, De Grey Mining, Tiger Resources and Iluka Resources.
Brad Sampson, the Chief Executive Officer of Kore Potash said, "We are disappointed that Jean Michel's personal circumstances have required his departure from our Company and wish him well for the future."
"We are also fortunate that Ms Farris is available to immediately step in as our interim CFO. She is a highly respected chartered accountant who is already familiar with all of the Company's accounts and people".
