9 December 2013 Karelian Diamond Resources Plc ("Karelian" or the "Company") AGM Statement At today's Annual General Meeting of Karelian (AIM: KDR, ESM: KDRI), thediamond exploration company focused on Finland, the Chairman, Professor Conroy,will make the following comments: "During the last 18 months the Company has made a number of positivediscoveries in Finland that lead us to believe that there is a very strongpossibility of successfully achieving our aim of discovering a majordiamondiferous pipe. "Recent drilling of further potentially diamond bearing mantle xenolith atSeitaperä was subsequently confirmed as diamondiferous by the recovery ofmicrodiamonds. Two of the micro-diamonds were greater than 60 per cent broken,indicating the possibility of larger stone sizes. At your Company's explorationtarget Riihivaara we have discovered G9 and G10 diamondiferous indicatorminerals, whilst the positive results at Kuusamo have led to new claimapplications being made. "The data made available to Karelian under its agreement with Rio Tinto Miningand Exploration is continuing to be evaluated and indeed, combined withairborne geophysics, led to the decision to apply for claim reservations in theKuusamo area. The data is proving very useful in both identifying new targetsand in confirming existing analysis.
