Support contract for Passenger Information Systems

Transport for West Midlands

21st Century Technology plc (AIM: C21), the specialist provider of tailored solutions to the transport community, solving complex operational requirements both on and off vehicle, is pleased to announce a 2-year contract from Transport for West Midlands ("TfWM"), the transport arm of West Midlands Combined Authority ("WMCA"). This strategically important contract award includes a customer option of an additional 1-year extension through to March 2020 increasing the total contract value to approximately £0.4m.

21st Century Passenger Systems has a long-standing relationship with TfWM and this new contract extends the range of services provided to include a complete maintenance and support package for approximately 600 public travel information systems installed in and around bus shelters throughout the West Midlands region.

TfWM is the public body responsible for transport infrastructure and the co-ordination of public transport in the West Midlands metropolitan county in England. It is an executive body of the WMCA, with bus franchising (since May 2017) and highway management powers similar to Transport for London.
