James Halstead PLC12 June 2007 James Halstead Plc 12 June 2007 Exercise of options and directors' dealings James Halstead Plc ("James Halstead" and the "Company") announces that, on 12 June 2007, it issued 199,926 5p Ordinary Shares in the Company ("OrdinaryShares") in respect of share options of the James Halstead Group Share OptionPlan (1998). The Company has been advised that, on 12 June 2007, Mr Mark Halstead and MrGordon Oliver, directors of the Company, exercised share options as follows: - Mr Mark Halstead exercised share options over 3,014 Ordinary Shares at 221.00 pence per share; and - Mr Gordon Oliver exercised share options over 18,000 Ordinary Shares at 221.00 pence per share The company has also been advised that, on 12 June 2007: - Mr Mark Halstead transferred 3,014 Ordinary Shares to his spouse who subsequently sold 2,383 Ordinary Shares at 610 pence per share - Mr Gordon Oliver sold 6,809 Ordinary Shares at 610 pence per share and transferred 11,191 Ordinary Shares to his spouse who subsequently sold 2,383 Ordinary Shares at 610p per share Following this notification, Mr M Halstead's and Mr G Oliver's respectiveholdings in the Company are as follows: - Mr Mark Halstead is the beneficial owner of 3,383,351 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 6.62% of the issued share capital of the Company; - Mr Gordon Oliver is the beneficial owner of 47,746 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 0.09% of the issued share capital of the Company; The beneficial holdings of Mr M Halstead and Mr G Oliver noted above include theholdings of their respective spouses.
