Trading Statement

The Directors of Judges Scientific plc are pleased to update the market on progress in the run-up to the Company's financial year-end of 31 December 2013.

Since the beginning of the second half of 2013, the Group has produced a satisfactory performance in terms of sales and margins. Scientifica Limited, acquired in June 2013, has traded in line with the Board's estimates at the time of the acquisition. Order intake has shown an improvement since the second quarter but remains subdued as we approach 2014.

The Board expects adjusted earnings per share for the full year to exceed market expectations.
