Judges Capital PLC09 January 2007 PRESS RELEASE 9 January 2007 Judges Capital Plc (the "Company") Pre Close Trading Statement The Directors of Judges Capital, the scientific instrument group, are pleased toannounce a trading update in respect of the year ended 31 December 2006. At the time of the interim results, issued on 26 September 2006, the Companyreported subdued second quarter trading activity following a solid first quarterperformance and warned that earnings for the full year were unlikely to meetearlier expectations. However, the Board also noted that order intake hadimproved at the onset of second half trading and expressed its confidence in asatisfactory outcome for the financial year as a whole. The Board is pleased to report that the aforementioned recovery in orders wassustained and it expects the Company to have made up a significant proportion ofthe mid-year earnings shortfall. Consequently, it is anticipated that the fullyear results will be in excess of current market expectations.
