CORPORATE GOVERNANCE REVIEW - UPDATE
Following the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 3 July 2019, the Board confirmed that it would carry out a review of its practices from a corporate governance perspective. It was confirmed that the review would involve engagement with its shareholders with a focus on remuneration issues.
The Board today confirms that such initial engagement with some of the Company's major shareholders has now taken place and that their views on a wide range of corporate governance issues have been obtained. This engagement will continue during the first quarter of 2020 and it is the Board's intention to use the findings from this exercise to assist in the preparation of the Company's Annual Report for the 52-week period to 1 February 2020. The Company will formally present a new remuneration policy in its Annual Report this year, which will be put to shareholders for approval at the Company's AGM in Summer 2020.
