Inspirit Energy Begins Process to Obtain GAD Approval
Kleenair Systems International announces that Inspirit Energy, in which KSI has a 11% equity interest (being 1,333,333 shares), has commenced the process to achieve European Gas Appliance Directive approval (widely referred to as 'GAD approval') for its energy efficient mCHP appliance. Satisfactory completion of this process will allow Inspirit Energy to supply its efficient, and environmentally-beneficial combined heat, power and hot water systems to the European market, for installation on Natural Gas in the UK or Ireland for a commercial return.
Inspirit Energy currently understands that the approval process will take approximately 7 months to complete.
The Gas Appliance Directive applies to a range of gas burning appliances that operate up to a normal temperature of 105 degrees Celsius and some fittings including safety, regulating and controlling devices and sub-assemblies. The directive became mandatory from the start of 1996 so now all gas appliances sold that fall within the scope of the directive must be CE marked (the industry standard safety mark).
Inspirit Energy has chosen and placed initial orders with the British Standard Institution (BSI) to start the accreditation process.
