New Contract Award

Intercede announces that it has won a new contract to supply the Intercede MyID, Identity and Credential Management System to a large US Federal Agency. This order brings the number of US agencies who have deployed Intercede MyID for personal identity verification (PIV) related purposes to 14.

The contract includes the initial supply of Intercede MyID Identity and Credential Management system to support 7,500 individuals along with supporting software maintenance and support, professional services and training. However, the potential size of this Agency's PIV-c deployment is substantially larger.

This new customer will be using Intercede MyID to manage the assured identities of external personnel, contractors and volunteers who need to gain secure access to facilities and services using PIV-compatible (PIV-c) credentials on smart cards. This is one of the first deployments of PIV-c smart card technology in the government sector. It heralds the expansion of the PIV market beyond direct government employees to a new and much larger population of users.

Along with Intercede's other Federal Agency PIV customers and MyID's deployment in the Transportation Security Administration's TWIC program, this contract confirms Intercede's leading position as a supplier of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) standards-compliant identity and credential management systems to the US Federal Government. Strategically, it places Intercede in a leading position to compete for other upcoming PIV, PIV-interoperable and PIV-compatible opportunities.

This contract will make a material contribution to Intercede's current year revenues. As a result, the Board confirms its previous statement that Intercede is on target to meet full year expectations.
