Statement re Suspension

GEM BioFuels has today notified the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange ("AIM") that it is not able to release its final results for the year ending 31 December 2011 by the deadline of 29 June 2012 as its audit is still to be completed. As a consequence, the Company's shares have been suspended from trading pursuant to AIM Rule 19. The suspension, which commenced at 2.30pm on 29 June 2012, will remain in place until the Company's accounts have been published and posted to shareholders. The Directors of the Company are working with the Company's auditors to ensure completion and release of the final results, and a restoration to trading of the Company's shares on AIM, as soon as possible.
