Hansard Global plc announces today that Gordon Marr has been appointed to Managing Director of Hansard Global plc with effect from 1st July 2009. Previously Group Counsel and Executive Director, Gordon will be responsible for all non-distribution activities within the Group and will report to the Executive Chairman and the Board.
Joseph Kanarek, Chief Distribution Officer, will continue to be responsible for distribution, reporting to the Executive Chairman and the Board.
Robert Hall, Chief Operating Officer, will be retiring and resigning from his position as a director of Hansard Global plc with effect from 30th June 2009.
Dr Leonard Polonsky, Executive Chairman, said:
"I congratulate Gordon on his appointment as Managing Director. He has been with the Company for 20 years and has an exceptionally broad and tested knowledge of the business and wide-ranging experience of our
international markets. Gordon is the natural person to fill this new role and will be working closely with me in continuing to drive the strategic direction of the business.
I would like to thank Robert for his work over 14 years, particularly the valued judgement he has shown during this time. The Board wishes Robert a happy and fulfilling retirement."
