TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Hammerson plc (the "Company") announces that, in accordance with the terms of its share repurchase programme announced on 6 December 2021, the Company purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 5 pence each from Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc. Such purchase was effected pursuant to instructions issued by the Company on 6 December 2021.

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.
Since 6 December 2021, the Company has purchased 7,191,188 shares at a cost (including dealing and associated costs) of £2,363,542.89. Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 7,191,188 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 4,412,265,973 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
