NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PARTIES
HELICAL BAR PLC ("Helical Bar "or "the Company")
The Company was informed today that the following transactions had taken place:
1. Exercise of Share Options
On 5 September 2008 subscriptions options over 135,580 new ordinary 1p shares were exercised in accordance with the rules of the Helical Bar 1999 Approved Share Option Scheme. These options were originally granted on 8 March 1999 and had to be exercised before 7 March 2009.
Following the exercise of these options the Company had 97,201,912 ordinary 1p shares in issue.
Included in these transactions are options exercised by the following directors:
Michael Slade
Options over 33,895 shares exercised at 88.5p per share.
Nigel McNair Scott
Options over 33,895 shares exercised at 88.5p per share.
Michael Brown
Options over 33,895 shares exercised at 88.5p per share.
Gerald Kaye
Options over 33,895 shares exercised at 88.5p per share.
2. Sale of Shares
On 5 September 2008 the following Directors sold shares in the Company:

33,895 shares sold at 318.8p per share.
Nigel McNair Scott

Michael Brown

Gerald Kaye
