Board Appointment at Hargreaves Lansdown plc (HL plc)

The Board of Hargreaves Lansdown plc (Group Board) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Morley to the Group Board of HL plc as an independent Non-executive Director with effect from 01 August 2023. Michael will join the Board's Remuneration and Risk Committees from the same date. 

Michael brings extensive financial services and risk expertise, strategic thinking, governance and regulatory experience combined with strong leadership skills. Michael is currently a Non-Executive Director of Deutsche Bank SAEU in Spain and Deutsche Bank (Suisse) SA in Switzerland. Previously he has held a number of executive roles including as CEO UK Wealth Management for Deutsche Bank, CEO Coutts & Co, and CEO Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Ltd, as well as senior roles at Barclays Bank PLC and Merrill Lynch

Michael will seek election by our shareholders at our forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 8 December 2023.

As at 10 July 2023 Michael Morley has confirmed that he does not own shares in HL plc. 

Other than the directorships disclosed above, there are no matters required by paragraphs LR 9.6.13R (1) to (6) of the listing rules to be disclosed.
