31 March 2006 HSBC INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANY LIMITED (Incorporated in Guernsey with registered number 44185) COMPLETION OF PURCHASE OF PORTFOLIO OF INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS HSBC Infrastructure Company Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announcethat, pursuant to a Sale and Purchase Agreement entered into with HSBCInfrastructure Fund and HSBC Infrastructure Limited on 23 March 2006 for theacquisition of interests in 15 infrastructure projects (the "InitialPortfolio") at a total price of ‚£250,060,000 (including outstandingsubscription obligations), completion in relation to 13 of the 15infrastructure projects took place on 30 March 2006.
