Close period repurchase programme

Halfords Group plc ("Halfords" or the "Company") announces that the Company has entered into an irrevocable and non-discretionary arrangement with its broker, Investec, to repurchase on its behalf and within certain pre-set parameters, ordinary shares in Halfords, to be held in treasury, during the Company's close period commencing on 21 June 2011 and ending on the day prior to the announcement of the Company's Interim Management Statement. This arrangement is in accordance with Chapter 12 of the UKLA Listing Rules and Halfords's general authority to repurchase shares.
