 Grainger plc ("the Company")

Following the extended deadline given in respect of the conversion on the Company's 3.625% Convertible Bonds due 2014, the Company announced yesterday that further conversion notices in respect of £6m nominal (or 5.4%) of the Bonds have been received. Upon conversion the Company will issue 694,444 ordinary shares of 5p each to these further former holders of those Bonds.

Application has been made to The UK Listing Authority and The London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to The Official List and to trading on The London Stock Exchange. Dealings in these shares are expected to commence on 14 November 2008.
