GAME Digital announces CFO's intention to step down

GAME Digital ("GAME" or "the Group") announces that Benedict Smith has informed the Board of his intention to step down from his role as Group Chief Financial Officer later this year.

Benedict, who joined GAME in January 2013 following roles in private equity and private equity-backed retail and leisure businesses, has been part of the management team which drove the turnaround of GAME under private ownership, leading to the Group's successful IPO. Benedict is to leave GAME to take up the position of CFO at a private equity-backed business.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, Benedict will remain on the Board and with GAME until July, working closely with the finance team including Alan Evans, recently appointed GAME's UK Finance Director. The search for a new Group Chief Financial Officer has been initiated, including the appointment of Korn Ferry to manage the process.

Benedict Smith, Chief Financial Officer, said:
