Gleeson(M J)Group PLC03 December 2007 Monday 3 December 2007 M J GLEESON GROUP PLC Board Changes Gleeson (GLE.L), the house-builder specialising in urban regeneration, ispleased to announce the appointment as a non-executive Director, with immediateeffect, of Colin Dearlove, formerly Group Finance Director of BarrattDevelopments plc, a FTSE 100 company. Colin Dearlove will replace Eric Stobart, who will retire from the Board on 31January 2008, at the conclusion of three three-year terms (the limit forcorporate governance considerations of independence). Colin Dearlove, BA, FCMA, aged 56, was at Barratt Developments, theNewcastle-based national house-builder, from 1981 to 2006, as Group ChiefAccountant from 1985 to 1992 and as Group Finance Director from 1992 to 2006. Save as disclosed above, Colin Dearlove has held no directorship in any otherpublicly quoted company at any time during the previous five years and thereare no details to be disclosed by Mr Dearlove under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules. Welcoming Colin Dearlove to the Gleeson Board, Dermot Gleeson, Chairman, stated"My Board colleagues and I are delighted that someone of Colin's standing in thehouse-building industry is joining our Board.
