Christopher Mills appointed a non-executive Director

Gleeson (GLE.L), the urban regeneration and strategic land specialist, is pleased to announce the appointment as a non-executive Director, with effect from 1 January 2009, of Christopher Mills. Christopher Mills is a member and Chief Investment Officer of North Atlantic Value LLP. North Atlantic Value LLP, which has been a substantial shareholder since March 2005, currently has an equity stake of 18.2% in M J Gleeson Group plc. 

Christopher Harwood Bernard Mills, 56, is also Chief Investment Officer of J O Hambro Capital Management Limited, which he joined in 1993. Mr Mills is additionally Chief Executive and Investment Manager of North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC, a UK listed investment trust, and a Director and investment manager of Oryx International Growth Fund Limited. From 1975 to 1993, Christopher worked for Samuel Montagu Limited, Montagu Investment Management Limited and its successor company, Invesco MIM.

In addition to North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC, Christopher Mills has been a director of the following publicly quoted companies within the previous five years: Albany Capital Plc, Castle Support Services PLC, Catalyst Media Group plc, Inspired Gaming Group plc, Izodia PLC , Mid-States PLC (until 17 December 2008), Prime Focus London PLC and Sirvis IT plc .
