Gleeson(M J)Group PLC27 October 2006 Friday 27 October 2006 MJ GLEESON GROUP PLC Appointment of Non-Executive Director Gleeson (GLE.L) announces the appointment of Terry Morgan MSc, 57, as anindependent Non-Executive Director. His appointment is effective from 1 November2006. Currently, Terry is Chief Executive of Tube Lines, a joint venture formed tomanage the PPP work to deliver improvements to the Jubilee, Northern andPiccadilly lines, a position which he has held since 2002. In addition, he hasbeen a Non-Executive Director of the NAAFI. Previously, he was Group Managing Director - Operations (2001-02) and Group HRDirector (1996-2001) at BAE Systems, where he oversaw a period of significantre-organisation; Managing Director of Royal Ordnance at British Aerospace(1994-96), at a time of rapidly reducing expenditure on defence equipment; andManaging Director of Land Rover Vehicles at Rover Group PLC (1989-94), where hesupervised the introduction of the Discovery. He holds an MSc in EngineeringProduction & Management from Birmingham University. Commenting on the appointment, Dermot Gleeson, Chairman, said: "One of thethreads running through Terry Morgan's broadly-based CV is the successfulmanagement of change. This will be of great help to us as we develop andimplement the Group's new corporate strategy."
