PATRICK COVENEY APPOINTED NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT GLANBIA PLC
30 April 2014 - Glanbia plc ("Glanbia", the "Group"), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Patrick Coveney as a Non-Executive Director, effective 30 May 2014.
Mr. Coveney, aged 43, is Chief Executive Officer of Greencore Group plc, a leading convenience food group with revenues of £1.2 billion and employing over 12,000 employees in the UK, Ireland and the USA. Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2007, Mr. Coveney served as Chief Financial Officer of Greencore Group plc and was previously a global partner of McKinsey and Co, focused on consumer and food industries. Mr. Coveney is a former Rhodes Scholar and holds a D.Phil and M.Phil from Oxford University.

Mr. Coveney has notified the Company that he has no details to be disclosed as required under Paragraph 6.6.7, Chapter 6 of the Irish Listing Rules and Paragraph 9.6.13, Chapter 9 of the UK Listing Rules.
