Update on Security Situation

Gulf Keystone Petroleum Limited ("Gulf Keystone" or the "Company") today confirms that the Company's operations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, including ongoing production and trucking operations at both Shaikan production facilities, remain safe and secure.

While there is no immediate threat to any of the Company's operations in the region, we continue to monitor the situation closely and operate with increased security as a precaution.

The Company's results for the period ended 30 June 2014 will be announced on Thursday 28 August 2014.

· Gulf Keystone Petroleum International (GKPI) holds Production Sharing Contracts for four exploration blocks in Kurdistan, the Shaikan, Sheikh Adi, Ber Bahr and Akri-Bijeel blocks.
