Gresham and Quantum Corp. launch new back-up and storage solution for the IBM System i market

Gresham Computing plc (LSE:GHT), the specialist provider of real-time financial solutions and storage solutions, is pleased to announce the certification of Quantum Corp. (NYSE:QTM) backup solutions for use with Gresham's Clareti Storage Director, enabling connectivity with IBM System i (iSeries/AS400) servers. The solution has been successfully tested and the first significant customer, a Fortune 500 Real Estate company is now live. The joint solution will be marketed by both Gresham and Quantum Corp., one of the largest resellers in the IBM System i market. 

The combination of Quantum's DXi-Series and Scalar libraries with Clareti Storage Director allows IBM System i customers using Power Systems to access leading-edge backup and recovery technologies developed for open systems. Quantum technologies provide data deduplication, intelligent tape management, media integrity trend analysis, and common management across disk and tape tiers, while Clareti streamlines the data storage infrastructure, optimises access and utilisation of existing hardware and simplifies administration of diverse storage environments.
