NOTIFICATION OF FUTURE BOARD AND COMMITTEE CHANGES & APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Galliford Try, the housebuilding, regeneration and construction group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Townsend as a non-executive director. The appointment will formally commence with effect 1 September 2017.

Andrew Jenner, currently chair of the audit committee, has notified the Board of his intention not to seek re-election at the 2017 annual general meeting and to therefore step down later this year having completed nine years on the Board.

Also with effect from 1 September 2017, Peter Ventress will assume the chairmanship of the nomination committee. Terry Miller will continue to be a member of the committee.

Peter Ventress, Chairman, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Jeremy to Galliford Try as a non-executive director. Jeremy's appointment will further strengthen our independence and the experience of the Board as well as ensure a smooth transition for Andrew's departure. The Board looks forward to Jeremy quickly establishing himself in the new role, and to benefiting from his extensive corporate and sector experience. Jeremy will assume the role of chair of the audit committee on Andrew stepping down.

On appointment Jeremy will also become a member of the remuneration and nomination committees.

Jeremy Townsend Biography

Jeremy is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Rentokil Initial plc following appointment in August 2010. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a member of the Accounting Council of the Financial Reporting Council. Previously, Jeremy was Finance Director at Mitchells & Butlers Plc and prior to that held various finance roles at J Sainsbury Plc including Corporate Finance Director. Jeremy began his career in audit and corporate finance at Ernst & Young.
